A simpler way to reach home

A dashboard for the things you use every day.

No port forwarding required

Home Assistant connects from inside your home over HTTPS. Relay works behind CGNAT, with no public IP address or incoming router port required.

Your chosen controls, ready to use

Check a sensor, turn off a light or run a script from your browser. Choose your controls and readings — called entities in Home Assistant — and we’ll create the dashboard. No VPN required.

Start free. Upgrade when you need more.

Keep your free dashboard for as long as you like. Upgrade from your account for more entities, faster updates and extra household logins.

Start with Relay

Connect Relay in four steps.

We generate the YAML configuration and automation for your selected entities. Add them to Home Assistant using our setup guide. No custom integration is required.

See the step-by-step guide →
  1. 1
    Choose your entities

Create a free account and choose up to 5 entities, such as lights, sensors, switches or scripts.

  2. 2
    Add the YAML configuration

Add the generated block to your Home Assistant configuration, check the YAML and reload the REST commands.

  3. 3
    Save the automation

Paste the generated code into Home Assistant’s automation editor and save.

  4. 4
    Check the first update

Return to Relay setup and check for an update. Open your dashboard when your readings arrive.

Two ways to connect

Which connection is right for you?

Choose Relay for everyday controls with simpler setup. Choose Proxy for your existing dashboards and settings, with additional network setup.

Relay · Start free

Relay: your everyday controls in one place

  • Selected lights, sensors, switches and scripts
  • Generated YAML and one automation
  • No port forwarding or public IP required; works behind CGNAT
  • Start free with 5 entities; upgrade for more

Relay gives you a focused dashboard for selected entities. For your existing dashboards, cameras and full Home Assistant history, choose Proxy.

Proxy · $72 USD / year

Proxy: your full Home Assistant interface

  • Your dashboards, settings and usual login
  • A personal HTTPS address
  • Router setup and a reachable public IPv4 required
  • A free connection check before you subscribe

Proxy requires port forwarding and a reachable public IPv4 address. It does not work behind CGNAT. The connection from our server to your home is not encrypted by default, so intercepted traffic could expose sign-in details. HTTPS can protect this connection if your home has a valid, trusted certificate.

Both work with your existing Home Assistant installation. Keep Home Assistant running and connected to the internet for remote access. Compare all four plans.

Plans that grow with your needs

Start free. Keep your dashboard when you upgrade.

Free Relay has no time limit. Upgrade for more entities, faster updates, a personal subdomain and outage alerts by email. Give your household separate dashboard logins while you manage setup and billing.

Paid plans are billed annually and renew automatically. Cancel renewal anytime. Update intervals are approximate; a slow connection can delay readings and actions. See paid Relay plans.

Common questions

Do I need Home Assistant already?

Yes. Home Assistant stays on your own hardware, along with your devices and automations. Relay adds a separate dashboard for selected entities; Proxy provides access to your existing interface.

Can I use Relay alongside my existing remote access?

Yes. Keep your current setup and use Relay as a separate dashboard for everyday controls and sensors. Try the free plan to see whether it’s useful for you.

Can I control devices with Relay?

Yes. You can use supported controls and run scripts from your Relay dashboard. Home Assistant sends entity updates and checks for requested actions at your plan’s interval. Both connections start inside your home over HTTPS, so no incoming router port is needed.

Try Relay with your own Home Assistant.

Choose up to 5 entities and access them from anywhere. No credit card required. No time limit.

A short recording of the real Relay interface with simulated devices. Standard Relay checks every 15 seconds; Free Relay checks every 60 seconds. Connection delays can make it take longer.

We turn off a lamp. Its switch stays on while the request waits, then Home Assistant collects it. The switch changes to off only after a new reading confirms it. Then we find the temperature chart and explore curtain and vacuum controls.
